If you have not yet done so, please contact the Governor’s office using this online formhttps://nj.gov/governor/contact/all/ and ask that he sign both the Recycled Content bill A4676/S2515 and the PaintCare bill (S2679/A1979), which were passed by the Legislature earlier this week. If the Governor does not sign these bills by Tuesday, they become “pocket vetoed” and we would need to begin the process again.
It has been 8 years since the work started in New Jersey to pass a product stewardship law for paint. We have been close before, so let’s help this bill across the finish line!
The Recycled Content bill is enormously important to the success of recycling in New Jersey as it completes the recycling loop by creating end markets for our material.
